Naked man temporarily escapes from deputies in LidgerwoodLIDGERWOOD, N.D. – A man escaped from a Richland County Sheriff’s squad car here after he was arrested for walking around the city naked Wednesday night.
Around 4:51 p.m., deputies arrested 35-year-old Michael Skroch Jr., of Lidgerwood, for disorderly conduct after reports he had been walking around town naked, according to a press release from the Richland County Sheriff’s Office.
En route to jail and about seven miles north of the city, Skroch broke out a rear window of the patrol car and ran, the release said.
Skroch was apprehended about 45 minutes later, about a half-mile from where he escaped.
Skroch was booked at the Richland County Jail pending charges of disorderly conduct, escape and resisting arrest. After he was booked, Skroch was taken to Sanford Hospital in Fargo for a mental health evaluation.
