Cutting Horse weekend slated June 1-2 in West FargoWEST FARGO – A National Cutting Horse Association Weekend will be held here June 1-2.
West Fargo was chosen as one of 25 cities across the country to host the NCHA Weekend at the Red River Valley Fairgrounds.
NCHA, based in Fort Worth, Texas, was formed in 1946 as a grass-roots sport held only on weekends.
The NCHA is the world governing body for the sport of cutting, with more than 17,000 members worldwide. Its mission is to promote and celebrate the cutting horse, whose origin on Western ranches supports ranching and Western heritage.
NCHA Weekend celebrates the “weekend cutter.”
West Fargo participants will be eligible for two National Youth Cutting Horse Association $250 scholarships.
