Bruins split a pair of baseball games with Huskies

WAHPETON, N.D. – Joe Brunner allowed just one run on three hits in seven innings as Fargo South salvaged a doubleheader split with Wahpeton in Eastern Dakota Conference baseball Saturday.

Wahpeton won the first game 4-3 in walk-off fashion. With the game tied 3-3 in the bottom of the seventh, Brock Lingen’s suicide squeeze scored Nate Albrecht for the winning run for the Huskies (10-6, 5-3 EDC).

Aaron Green went 3-for-4 with two RBIs as the Bruins won the second game 5-3.

South (4-12, 2-9 EDC) will be the No. 8 seed for the East Region tournament.
