Letter: It’s cooperation and competition

Regarding Cash Wise moving its liquor store:

In the 1980s, I owned the My Place Lounge that had an off-sale beer license at the start. The Nestor bar, with off-sale liquor, was on the other side of the underpass. We got along great. If I was running out of something at my bar on a weekend, they helped me out.

I owned OMNI Hobby & Games for 20 years. If I would get a bad check, I would call my competition to alert them. As a retailer, you can compete but keep it friendly.
