Woman dies in rollover near WalhallaWALHALLA, N.D. - A 26-year-old Walhalla woman was killed about 8:45 a.m. Wednesday when her pickup rolled south of Walhalla. Three children with her were not injured seriously.
According to the Highway Patrol, the woman was driving east on Pembina County Road 1 four miles southeast of Walhalla, with three children, ages 5, 5 and 4, in the 1999 Chevy truck when the vehicle drifted into the westbound lane and into the north ditch. The woman steered back on to the paved road, lost control and the truck rolled in the south ditch.
She was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected, dying at the scene, according to the Patrol. The three children, however, were belted in car seats and taken to Pembina County Memorial Hospital in Cavalier with non-life-threatening injuries. The woman’s name wasn’t released Wednesday.
Road and weather conditions were clear at the time.
