Service today to honor fallen police officersFARGO – A memorial service commemorating Law Enforcement Memorial Day is scheduled from noon to 1 p.m. today at the Veterans Memorial Fountain here at the entrance of Lindenwood Park.
This year’s speakers will include North Dakota Lt. Gov. Drew Wrigley and Judge Lisa Fair-McEvers of the North Dakota East Central Judicial District.
In 2012, 120 law enforcement officers lost their lives in the line of duty. For 18 years, the Fraternal Order of Police, the Fargo Police Department and members of the local law enforcement community have sponsored this ceremony to remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice while protecting and serving the citizens of their communities.
