VIDEO: Car fire on MSUM campus draws crowd

MOORHEAD – Firefighters put out a vehicle fire around 3:15 p.m. Friday at Minnesota State University Moorhead.

Firefighter Nick Anderson said the car’s engine was fully engulfed in flames when the Moorhead Fire Department arrived on scene, drawing a crowd of onlookers.

The fire was extinguished within a few minutes after firefighters opened the hood of the car, which was parked in an MSUM parking lot near Ninth Avenue South and 16th Street.

No one was injured in the incident, but the vehicle was a total loss. The cause of the fire is unknown.
