Style Profile: Young professional favors feminine, eclectic fashion
Allensworth, a proposal coordinator on Ulteig’s marketing team, says her friends embrace their individuality and inspire her style.
I spotted the Minnesota State University Moorhead graduate at her workplace looking casual chic in a white blazer and spring sandals.
Describe your style. It’s in the eclectic realm. I love feminine styles and dressing up, but I also like to wear something really weird once in a while.
What are you wearing? Blazer is LC Lauren Conrad for Kohl’s, top from T.J.Maxx, skinny jeans from Gap, Report sandals, ring from a thrift store, and necklaces from Unglued and ModCloth.
What’s your style philosophy? I think style is a really good way to express yourself. It’s such an impression of who you are.
Do you have any celebrity style icons? It sounds cheesy, but I like Sarah Jessica Parker because she just does what she wants. Her style is unpredictable and shows her mood.
Where do you shop? Thrift stores are my No. 1 go-to places. I also like Gap for plain basics, Target for fun things and H&M.
What do you splurge on? Handbags, I’ll have them for years.
If you had an unlimited budget, what would you buy? I would buy a “Sex and the City” Carrie-style fancy dress – something funky yet classic that makes a big statement.
