Big third inning propels St. Paul past Redhawks

ST. PAUL – Brad Boyer hit a three-run homer in the third inning as the St. Paul Saints defeated the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks 8-3 in American Association exhibition baseball Thursady.

Keith Brachold and Ryan Pineda each had two hits for the RedHawks.

The game was shortened to five innings because of rain.
