Cobbers split pair of baseball games at the Metrodome

MINNEAPOLIS – Concordia scored three first-inning runs in the second game of a Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference baseball doubleheader to salvage a split of the two games Wednesday at the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome.

Matt Eickman tossed seven shutout innings for the Pipers in a 5-0 victory in Game 1.

Braden Rahman, Michael Olson and Devin Johnson each drove in a run for the Cobbers in a 3-1 win in Game 2.

The Cobbers host St. Mary’s in a doubleheader at 2 p.m. today to wrap up the regular season. Concordia (16-14) needs at least one win to clinch a MIAC playoff spot.
