There is a lot of returning talent and leadership from last year and some new athletes that we expect to perform well, too. There has been a shift over the past couple of years where we would have individuals do well, but now we are seeing success as a team, as well as individually. The boys are continuing to work hard during practices and pushing themselves to be competitive. We expect to see a strong presence at the section meet and to take more participants to the state meet this season.”

Coach’s comments: “The Rebel boys have a young, but talented team for the 2013 season. With a strong graduating class in 2012, it will take the early part of the season to get the underclassmen in the right events and give them the experience to gel as a team. The strength of the squad comes from their team concept of overall depth and their ability to score in all events. With great leadership in the senior and junior classes, the Rebels have already shown great improvement during the indoor track season.”
