Two injured in head-on crash near Grand ForksGRAND FORKS – Two men were injured in a head-on crash near here Thursday night.
According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol:
The accident happened around 7:15 p.m. at 82nd Street and Demers Avenue, about two miles west of the city.
A 79-year-old man from Grand Forks was driving a minivan east on Demers Avenue that collided with a westbound car driven by a 59-year-old man, also from Grand Forks.
The minivan came to rest facing east near the centerline while the car came to rest facing west near the centerline. Both vehicles suffered severe front-end damage. Airbags were deployed in both vehicles.
The 79-year-old man was wearing a seat belt, but the man driving the car was not, according to the Highway Patrol report.
The men were taken to Altru Hospital in Grand Forks. Their identities and conditions have not been released.
