Letter: Thanks to union for lockout effortsI want to express my thanks and gratitude to my Bakery, Confectionery, Tobacco Workers and Grain Millers Union brothers and sisters for the opportunity to be a part of your organization. Because of all of you, I learned honor in the face of adversity, pride in working together and integrity in standing up for my beliefs. I learned what it means to be a family in the workplace.
I want to especially thank our union leadership and officers. You fought a hard battle and made many sacrifices in your efforts to work for all of us. I am well aware of the time, money and abuse you took to try to win this difficult situation. I want to thank you all as you worked with honor, grace and dignity throughout. I appreciate it more than words can express.
Thank you for letting me be a union member for the past 33 years. I will miss you all, and for those returning to American Crystal Sugar, the very best to you. Stay strong, stay united, stand together in the coming years. Your newest challenge is just beginning.
