ND Legislature to match record for length of sessionBISMARCK — North Dakota's Legislature on Thursday will match its longest session in modern state history.
Thursday is Day 79. That matches the 2009 session when lawmakers logged 79 days.
Two years ago, the session lasted 78 days.
Lawmakers still have some last-minute measures before the state constitution's 80-day limit is imposed.
The last day of the session is commonly called Sine Die, which means adjourning without setting another meeting.
