Fargo Theatre reaches $200,000 digital goalFARGO – The Fargo Theatre reached its goal of $200,000 needed for a digital conversion.
The organization made the announcement on its website and Facebook page Wednesday, saying that $200,023 was raised.
That money is needed to purchase and install digital projection equipment. The switch to digital is necessary because movie studios are phasing out 35 millimeter films, the format now used by the Fargo Theatre.
On April 24, the theater announced it was $20,000 shy of the goal it hoped to reach by Wednesday.
