Letter: ND state workers deserve a raiseWhen will the Legislature get it right when it comes to state employee compensation?
No one who goes to work for the state of North Dakota as a state employee signs a “vow of poverty.”
State employees are dedicated and hardworking individuals. Frontline state employees are among the first to unlock the door in the morning, turn on the lights and start the business of the day. They are among the last to turn off the lights and lock the door at the conclusion of the workday.
As a former state employee of 21 years, I recall the “lean” years in state government.
Let’s be just and honorable and let’s compensate state employees with a fair raise.
