Man gets four months for driving stolen bus
Jack Christensen, 48, who has no permanent address, pleaded guilty Friday in Clay County District Court to refusing to submit to a chemical test of driving while intoxicated and one count of theft, both gross misdemeanors.
Christensen was charged in February with stealing a bus that had been left running in the parking lot of Churches United Shelter for the Homeless, then getting it stuck in a snowbank on the side of the building. He was sentenced to a year in jail with all but 120 days suspended, and received credit for 84 days already served.
Two additional charges against him related to the incident were dropped.
