Letter: Misconceptions about the NRAIf you don’t believe the National Rifle Association is a grass-roots organization, you’re wrong.
The NRA has been representing shooting sports for well over a hundred years promoting gun safety, target shooting and collector information for gun owners who value excellence, quality, art and related history.
I have resided in four Minnesota communities for over 80 years where grass-roots support of gun rights for hunting, trap, and target ranges, collecting and gun use training for youths is definitely a fact. These communities all have grass-roots gun clubs! Minnesota now has a “Gun Owners Civil Rights Alliance” to counter- act the ignorance of those who write about corporate power controlling the NRA.
I too am a member of three gun clubs and a 60-year member of the NRA. And yes, I do vote.
