Wohler to leave Dragons men’s hoops program

MOORHEAD – Brady Wohler is leaving the Minnesota State Moorhead men’s basketball program, Dragons head coach Chad Walthall confirmed Monday.

The 6-foot-4 freshman guard started 13 games for MSUM last season and averaged 3.9 points and 2.0 rebounds per game.

Wohler told the Mankato Free Press that he plans to transfer to Minnesota State-Mankato to play for the Mavericks.

Wohler will have to sit out next season because he is transferring within the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference. Wohler, from Orono, Minn., told the Free Press he transferred to be closer to home.

“It just wasn’t a fit,” said Walthall.
