Subject of local river search found alive and wellMOORHEAD – Police here made contact Sunday with a man whose girlfriend triggered a brief river search Saturday evening when she told police she was concerned that he may have gone into the Red River after they had an argument.
Sgt. Thad Stafford said the man was fine when police talked to him Sunday morning.
Moorhead and Fargo firefighters trolled the river for about an hour Saturday evening looking for signs of the man, and police officers walked the riverbank and used a K-9, but police called off the river search after finding no evidence that the man went into the water.
