Letter: WF fire victims thankful for help

My family and I have recently been displaced by a fire that destroyed our home at 523 4th Ave. NW, West Fargo, as well as two other neighboring homes. I would like to thank the West Fargo and Fargo Fire Departments, West Fargo Police Department, Advanced Auto Body, G&T Plumbing and Heating, United Blood Services, Country Financial and all our friends and family who have put out their hands in helping and supporting us in this tragic time of need.

I would especially like to thank the West Fargo Fire Department for reviving our dachshund, Ernie, and rescuing our cat, Kirby, and the compassion they showed toward us as we lost our home. I feel honored and uplifted to know the many friends, family and people who have helped us in the past week.

It has been so overwhelming how people want to help us. The area we live in is truly filled with some of the most amazing, helpful people in the world. We may have long winters and short summers, but with the type of people who live here, it doesn’t matter.
