Letter: Bossart unique in so many ways

I am one of those hundreds of students Marv Bossart taught at Minnesota State University Moorhead. Like so many in his classes, I felt honored to learn from Bossart, this man we saw on the news each night. He not only taught journalism but entertained the class with numerous stories, many with a humorous twist.

Bossart was unique in so many ways, not the least of which was holding down the anchor desk at WDAY all those many decades. He respected his TV audience much like he respected each student who came to his classes to learn. He helped me get in contact with WCCO Radio in Minneapolis, and I retired from the station recently after 39 years. Thank you, Marv. Rest in peace.
