More sandbaggers needed in Fargo's Oakcreek areaFARGO -- More volunteers are needed to throw sandbags in south Fargo's Oakcreek area, City Engineer April Walker said at 1:30 p.m. today.
About 16,000 bags must be stacked today in the neighborhood, the last to receive sandbag levees to protect against spring flooding.
Walker said a CodeRed alert sent out to Oakcreek and surrounding neighborhoods didn't draw as many volunteers as hoped, and more are needed.
The entrance to Oakcreek is at 25th Street South and 44th Avenue.
