ND man pleads guilty in Fargo to burglarizing post officeFARGO - A St. Michael man pleaded guilty last week in U.S. District Court in Fargo to burglarizing a post office and conspiring to commit bank fraud, U.S. Attorney Timothy Purdon said Friday.
Robert Redroad Jr., 41, broke into the Tokio post office on the Spirit Lake Indian Reservation, stole a U.S. Treasury check made out to someone else, forged the signature and asked another person to cash it at a bank in Moorhead in September.
Burglarizing a post office has a maximum penalty of five years in prison. Conspiring to commit bank fraud has a maximum penalty of 30 years.
Sentencing is scheduled for July 12.
