Two charged with dealing meth in Fargo

FARGO – Two people here are accused of dealing methamphetamines after charging documents filed in court allege police found more than $60,000 in cash in a home and caught one of them apparently trying to flush meth down a toilet.

In court records, police allege they executed a search at 1707 42nd St. S. in Fargo on Monday and found Melissa Ann Samuelson, 47, sitting on the toilet, with pieces of meth and a digital scale with meth residue on the floor near her.

Officers tried to recover what they suspected was meth from the toilet bowl but could not, police claim. Court documents allege a further search uncovered drug paraphernalia, 11 grams of meth and $61,940.

Samuelson, of Fergus Falls, was charged Tuesday in Cass County District Court with Class A felony possession of meth with intent to deliver, Class C felony possession of drug paraphernalia and tampering with physical evidence, also a Class C felony. Her bail was set at $50,000 cash.

Shawn Jay Kukes, 46. of Fargo, was also charged on Tuesday with Class A felony possession of meth with intent to deliver, Class C felony drug paraphernalia and misdemeanor paraphernalia and marijuana charges. His bail was set at $100,000.
