Fargo road closures planned todayFARGO – City officials said Tuesday that the following roads will be closed today as crews build flood protections in Fargo.
According to a news release, traffic restrictions in these three areas will be in place by 10 a.m.:
• In the Oakcreek area, on-street parking will be restricted and roads will have one-way traffic to allow for sandbag delivery and placement. The area will be open to local traffic only.
• In the Prairie Rose area – on 39th Avenue South between 33rd and 34th streets and on 33rd and 34th streets between 40th and 39th avenues south – on-street parking will be restricted and roads will have one-way traffic to allow for sandbag delivery and placement.
• In the Copperfield Court South area, on-street parking will be restricted to allow for sandbag delivery and placement.
This lane shift is expected to be in place by tonight.
• Between 32nd and 28th streets, traffic on 40th Avenue South will shift to the north part of the road to allow for storage of sandbag pallets on 40th Avenue South for the Copperfield Court area. Equipment will be on the roadway to unload and position sandbag pallets. Drivers are advised to slow down and use caution.
