Letter: Classmates want to make sandbagsI am writing in response to Ed Schultz’s article about the schools in the F-M area making seventh- and eighth-graders sandbag during school. I’d like to go out and say that the term “slave labor” is crazy.
I wanted to go sandbagging during school. I am proud to help my community and I am confident my classmates feel the same way. We were told that it would be difficult, but we still all wanted to go and help the community fight against the flood. I believe that it does indeed help build character, and I am also proud to live here and be part of the flood fight in “Good Ol’ Fargo, Nort’ Dakota.”
