Police investigating north Fargo rape reportFARGO – Police here are investigating a reported sexual assault that allegedly occurred late Monday.
Officers say they received the complaint just before midnight and responded to the 200 block of 35th Avenue North, according to a WDAY news report.
The victim told police the rape happened at a different location in north Fargo, but police are not releasing where, WDAY said.
Police are still investigating but have said that the female victim and male suspect know each other.
“This wasn’t a blitz attack or a stranger attack,” said Pat Claus, a deputy chief of police in Fargo. “This was an individual the woman had recently met.”
The woman was taken to a Fargo hospital for treatment. Police have not released any further information about the male suspect.
