Brampton, N.D., man faces charges in fatal hit-and-run

OAKES, N.D. — A Brampton man faces hit-and-run charges connected to the death of a 28-year-old Oakes man.

Twenty-two-year-old Dakota Sutton appeared in Southeast Judicial District court on Wednesday on charges of murder, manslaughter, drunken driving and driving with a suspended license. He's accused of striking Reavis Dandridge with his truck on Sargent County Road 2, about four miles south of North Dakota Highway 11, on April 7.

KDDR Radio reports that Judge Brad Cruff set bail at $500,000. His next court appearance has not yet been set. A lawyer representing Sutton wasn't immediately available for comment.
