Police chase in Williston ends in fiery crash

WILLISTON, N.D. — A Washington state man faces numerous charges after a police chase in Williston that ended in a fiery crash.

Authorities allege that 35-year-old Luis Lopez, of Pasco, Wash., fled from officers early Saturday after stealing a car, which he eventually crashed into a tanker truck in the city's downtown. The Williston Herald reports (http://bit.ly/1106D3S) that both vehicles were engulfed in flames but there were no serious injuries.

Lopez is charged with three misdemeanors and two felony charges, including reckless endangerment. Court documents do not list an attorney for him. He is due in court on May 14 and could enter pleas at that time.
