UPDATE: I-94 across ND, I-29 from Fargo to Grand Forks closedFARGO – Interstate 94 across North Dakota is closed due to the winter storm. Interstate 29 between Fargo and Grand Forks has been closed as well.
Authorities have extended a no-travel advisory to all areas of the state south of and including US Highway 2 due to heavy snow and high winds causing areas of near-zero visibility, and snow- and ice-covered roadways.
A travel alert has also been extended to include the Grand Forks area due to blowing snow creating reduced visibility and snow and ice covered roadways.
A no-travel advisory has already been extended to include the southeast region of North Dakota including the cities of Valley City, Fargo and Wahpeton.
Motorists are advised to avoid travel in these areas due to hazardous conditions that may make it unsafe to drive.
