Men allegedly try to steal from Kroll's Diner till

FARGO – Two men allegedly tried to steal cash out of the till at Kroll’s Diner here early Saturday morning.

Fargo police responded to the diner on 45th Street South at about 4:45 a.m.

Two men had been waiting on change for a $10 tab when they reached their hands across the counter and into the till, said Sgt. Kevin Pallas. The attempted theft was stopped by a Kroll’s employee, he said.

“She slapped their hands and off they ran,” Pallas said.

When police arrived, they used a K-9 and tracked down the suspects’ vehicle, but the men were gone.

Nothing was stolen, no one was injured and the suspects didn’t make any threats, Pallas said.

If anyone has any information about the incident, they are asked to call Fargo Police at (701) 241-5777.
