Late mail collection planned April 15FARGO – To aid last-minute income tax filers, mail will be collected until midnight at Fargo Main Post Office at 657 2nd Ave. N. and the Prairiewood Station at 1455 32nd St. S.
The U.S. Postal Service is also offering the following tax day mailing tips:
• Apply proper postage and stamps, especially with extra forms and schedules. A letter costs 46 cents for the first ounce. The price for each additional ounce is an additional 20 cents. One ounce is about four pages, but because paper weights vary, it is always best to check or play it safe and add a stamp.
• Double-check the last collection time before depositing a tax return in a blue collection box.
• If using a non-IRS labeled envelope, make sure to print the proper IRS address.
• Print a return address in the upper-left-hand corner of the envelope.
