Style Profile: Confidence, individuality inspire Rheault’s style
Rheault, who teaches at Josef’s West Academy, can carry a conversation for hours, and she’s a serious shopper.
I spotted her at Red Raven Espresso Parlor rocking a green stripe in her hair and a confident smile.
Describe your style. Minimalist modern.
What are you wearing today? Boots from Lane Bryant, Proper & Prim accessories and a mini skirt. I’ve started taking risks with what I wear, and I love miniskirts right now.
What inspires your style? I follow feminist, body-loving blogs. Some are scandalous and a little sexy. A lot of it is over the top, but it’s inspiring.
Feminism is the biggest, most important thing for me and my style. It’s powerful to start looking at your body instead of others.
What’s your style philosophy? Take a risk, be who you want to be.
Who are your style icons? Fashion icons are fantastic, but you shouldn’t model yourself after anyone.
I do like Audrey Hepburn for her retro-simple style, and Beth Ditto has guts. Locally, Kristie Young of Salon Why? and Laura DaWiggley Addictions Tattoo & Piercing.
What are your favorite things in your closet? I have two sequined bolero jackets. They’re my babies, but there’s nothing fancy about them. They just inspire me to have a good time.
Who’s your celebrity crush? Paul Rudd. My husband, Gabe, knows, and that’s why he sits through Paul’s movies with me.
