Letter: Let’s be balanced about ‘activists’

Way to be impartial, Forum editors. Labeling those who oppose the legislation making it more difficult to kill unborn girls as “women’s rights activists” is laughable.

When you interview Rep. Bette Grande, R-Fargo, and all of the remarkable women who work at pro-life clinics like First Choice Clinic, please make sure and ask them why they are part of this so-called “war on women.” They foolishly might think they are trying to save the lives of thousands of unborn women. If those in favor of abortion are heralded by The Forum as “women’s rights activists,” please, in all journalistic fairness, refer to those fine women and me as “baby’s rights activists.”

As a true liberal, I stand for the protection of all innocent and helpless people, whether they are immigrants, the homeless, disenfranchised or voiceless. Who fits that description more than the unborn?

“My body, my choice?” Sorry, that is her little body with her own DNA, fingerprints and heartbeat. Her blood type may well be different from her mother. That little body you are paying someone to rip apart with suction is not your body. It is there for you to love and protect.

Don’t be so childishly selfish as to think it is OK to murder these unborn girls so as not to inconvenience your life.
