Moorhead police seize medical marijuanaMOORHEAD – Police seized marijuana from a home here last Friday believed to be tied to California.
A search warrant at 1601 8th St. S. turned up one pound of medicinal marijuana along with packaging for over 100 pounds of marijuana. Police also found a loaded 12-gauge shotgun and loaded .22 caliber revolver.
Korey Paul Okke, 25, was arrested without incident on charges of felony fifth-degree drug possession with intent to distribute, a prohibited person in possession of a firearm, and possession of drug paraphernalia, Lt. Tory Jacobson said in a press release.
Okke has since posted bail.
“During the course of the investigation we learned that the marijuana that Okke was receiving was coming from California,” Jacobson said in the release. “The marijuana that we seized has ties to a recent Moorhead case where the source of supply of the medicinal marijuana is believed to have been grown by a person licensed in California to grow it.”
