NDSU alumni to be honored at luncheonFARGO – Outstanding alumni from North Dakota State University will receive NDSU Alumni Association awards for 2013 at an 11:30 a.m. luncheon on Thursday at the Fargodome.
Achievement award winners are Terry Hanson (BS ’68, MS ‘70), co-founder of ULTA Salon, Cosmetics and Fragrances; and Gloria (Mostad) Stables (BS ‘77), past national program director of the “5 a Day for Better Health Program.”
The Henry L. Bolley Academic Achievement Award goes to Steven Kunkel, (BS ’73, MS ’74), an endowed professor of pathology research, head of the immunology program and senior associate dean for research at the University of Michigan Medical School.
The Horizon Award honoree is Amanda Smock, (’05), a triple jumper and a member of the 2012 U.S. Olympic team.
Sylvan Melroe (BS ’57), will receive the Heritage Award for Alumni Service and will be recognized for his active involvement with NDSU, the Alumni Association and Team Makers.
