Heitkamp’s 2012 campaign honoredFARGO – Tessa Gould, the campaign manager for U.S. Sen. Heidi Heitkamp, was named the 2013 Campaign Manager of the Year for a Democrat by the American Association of Political Consultants.
Gould recently received the award at a ceremony in Washington, D.C.
Dale Emmons, president of AAPC, said Gould “planned and executed the strongest field campaign in North Dakota history.”
Heitkamp’s campaign was also honored with a Silver Pollie Award for Best Campaign Ad – U.S. Senate (Democrat) for “Batting Cage.” The campaign was named the best of 2012 by both the Rothenberg Political Report and The Washington Post.
The campaign excellence awards recognize individuals who have significantly contributed to the success of a candidate or public affairs campaign. More than 135 nominations in 15 categories were received this year from the AAPC membership and political consulting community.
