WF names Gehlhar, Weber to assistant principal posts
Adam Gehlhar has been named an assistant principal for Cheney Middle School, and Michelle Weber will be the assistant principal for Liberty Middle School.
Both were lauded by Superintendent David Flowers for their experience in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) studies, and in teaching 21st-century learning skills that include collaboration, communication, critical thinking, creativity and computers and technology.
Gehlhar joined the West Fargo public schools in 2009 and served as a social science teacher at the STEM Center until 2012, when he accepted the interim role as an assistant principal at West Fargo High School.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in social science education from North Dakota State University and a master’s degree in education leadership from Tri-College University.
Michelle Weber joined West Fargo schools in 1991, and has served as a middle school language arts/reading teacher, middle school counselor and assistant principal at the STEM Center.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in secondary English education from Minnesota State University Moorhead, a master’s degree in counselor education from NDSU and a principal’s licensure in educational leadership from NDSU.
Gehlhar will join Principal Don Lennon and Assistant Principal Amber Rudolph at Cheney. Weber will join Principal Denise Jonas at Liberty. Both will start July 1.
