Man injured in explosion at oilfield shop in western ND

ALEXANDER, N.D. – A 29-year-old Alexander man was injured Tuesday in an explosion at an oilfield shop here, said the McKenzie County Sheriff’s Office.

The explosion occurred about 10:45 a.m. Tuesday at Youngquist Brothers Oil and Gas shop in Alexander, the sheriff’s office said. Alexander is about 20 miles south of Williston.

Aaron Callantine was injured and transported to McKenzie County Hospital. He was later flown to the Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis.

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration is investigating the incident.
