Bemidji State, Swiss university sign exchange agreementBEMIDJI, Minn. — Bemidji State University officials have signed a foreign exchange agreement with the University of Lucerne in Switzerland.
Bemidji State President Richard Hanson says the agreement will provide more opportunities for students and faculty to study abroad. The agreement with Lucerne is one of 12 Bemidji State intends to sign to provide 120 low-cost study-abroad opportunities for its students.
Swiss professor Gustav Arnold was in Bemidji Tuesday to sign the agreement. Bemidji provost Martin Tadlock tells the Pioneer (http://bit.ly/16Mu84m ) the goal is to provide foreign exchange studies that would cost no more than $1,000 more a semester than if the student remained in Bemidji.
