Man charged with murder in ND faces new chargeThe man accused of gunning down 28-year-old Derrick Spiegel on the street and fleeing to Billings, Mont. is facing another felony charge.
A complaint of felon in possession of a firearm was filed Friday against Jonathan Horvath by Det. Cory Collings of the Williston Police Department. Horvath’s felony conviction traces to June 22, 2006, for various offenses, including felony possession of stolen property and felony obstruction/resisting, according to an affidavit of probable cause.
The charges trace back to Sacramento, Calif., according to a March article in the Herald. The conviction involved 64 months in prison, including the original sentencing and subsequent probation violations, according to the affidavit.
