Lind: Memories of quintuplets born 79 years ago

It’s been 79 years since the Dionne quintuplets were born in Canada. But people still remember them, and better yet, come up with mementoes of them.

B. Eliason, Erie, N.D., after seeing an item here about someone having a photo of them, writes of also having one.

Neighbors doesn’t know this person’s name, since the letter is signed only

B. Eliason.

Anyhow, the photo is of the quints when they were about 3 to 6 months old. “B” bought it at a garage sale about 40 years ago, and now is willing to sell it.

“B” is fascinated by the quints and has “researched anything and everything about them I could find.”

For one thing, “B” learned there is a Dionne Quints Museum located in the original Dionne family farmhouse in North Bay, Ontario.

“B’s” address is 708 Main Ave, Erie, ND 58029.

Doris Johnson, Grafton, N.D., writes that she has a calendar with a photo of the quints when they were 4. The calendar was distributed by the Niagara (N.D.) Lumber Co.; Doris is a Niagara native.

It’s from the year of Doris’ birth, so she says for her, it’s a sentimental keepsake.
