Volunteer sandbaggers sought today in Fargo

FARGO – The city of Fargo is asking volunteers to keep the momentum going and help fill sandbags today.

School students are not available to help fill bags today and few community members have scheduled a shift to volunteer, according to a release from the city.

Volunteers can call (701) 476-4000 to schedule a shift.

Shuttles will be departing every 20 minutes from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. today. The last shuttle will leave the volunteer check-in site at 6 p.m.

Sandbag Central is at 2301 8th Ave. N.

Shuttle site locations are:

• West Acres mall, fountain entrance/JCPenney wing.

• Bison Block Building at Jitters Coffee Bar, 1414 12th Ave. N. Free parking is available in the North Dakota State University “T Lot” after 2 p.m. today.
