Letter: Don’t need advice from NYC mayorI have watched a commercial on television the past few days that makes me wonder. The millionaire mayor from New York City has spent roughly $10 million of his own money nationwide, more than $150,000 of that in North Dakota alone, to influence people to follow his beliefs.
What makes him think he has any say in what North Dakotans do? Where does he get off trying to tell us how to live in North Dakota? New York has enough problems of its own; you would think he would try to take care of New Yorkers instead of trying to push his own private agenda on North Dakotans.
In the ad, he tells us to call Sen. Heidi Heitkamp, D-N.D., and tell her to vote the way he wants things done. Why don’t we call her and tell her how we would like things done?
