Weekend watch: Shape then Shift CD release

Since his re-emergence as Shape then Shift, singer/songwriter Michael Weiler has been making up for lost time producing his own CDs, but also tirelessly promoting other acts, particularly emerging artists. So it is no surprise that Shape then Shift’s CD release show Friday at the Red Raven Espresso Parlor, 716 Main Ave., Fargo, features a handful of rising stars like Moorhead High School senior Nina Grollman, who was recently accepted into Juilliard, Izzy Marcil, who just starred as Dorothy in Shanley High School’s production of “The Wizard of Oz,” and bands Go Murphy! and Restless Vibes. The acts don’t just share a bill, different posters were made focusing on different acts. No matter who opens, music starts at 7:30 p.m. with a $5 cover for this all-ages show. (701) 478-7337.
