Hmong to rally in St. Paul after recent violenceST. PAUL — Hmong leaders and community members plan to gather in St. Paul this week to rally against recent instances of Hmong-on-Hmong violence.
Several high-profile cases in the past few months have brought attention to the issue. They include a stabbing outside a St. Paul bar that left a 28-year-old man dead, and a domestic dispute in which three people died.
The meeting is set for Tuesday at 6 p.m. at the Hmong Village.
A St. Paul Pioneer Press report says speakers will include the president of the Hmong 18 Clan.
Robert Lor, the group's secretary, says the Hmong want communities in St. Paul and around the state to know Hmong leaders are working on the issue and looking for help to improve the issue.
