Moorhead students to compete nationallyMOORHEAD – Moorhead High School automotive students Ken Bye and Bryce Jossund will compete in the National New York Automotive Technology Competition Tuesday and Wednesday in New York City.
Bye and Jossund earned the honor by placing first in the Minnesota AYES National Automotive Technician Competition, according to the Moorhead School District.
Their automotive instructor is Lauren Rood.
The national finals are held in conjunction with the New York International Auto Show.
Participants’ overall knowledge is tested, then each team must diagnose and repair a number of pre-assigned problems in a “bugged” car within an allotted amount of time.
Bye and Jossund’s trip is sponsored by the Minneapolis Auto Dealers Association.
