Medhus joins American Federal branch in Fargo

Nathan H. Medhus has been named business banker at American Federal Bank’s branch at 1301 30th Ave. S., Fargo.

Medhus has more than 12 years of experience in banking in the Fargo-Moorhead market.

He was born and raised in Fargo and graduated from Fargo North High School. He earned a bachelor’s degree in financial management from the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks. He also graduated from the Graduate School of Banking in Colorado.

Medhus joined Community First Bank in San Diego as a business banker and was later promoted to branch manager in Fargo. He then joined Ramsey National Bank and served as branch president of the Fargo location.

McCulley Optix Gallery in Fargo hires optician

Holly Nelson has joined McCulley Optix Gallery in Fargo as an optician.

Nelson, a native of Fargo-Moorhead, has more than four years of experience as an optician.

The Village hires Elbert in counseling office

Becky Elbert has been hired by The Village to work as a clinical nurse specialist in the counseling department in Fargo.

Elbert graduated from the University of Mary and from the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks, with a master’s degree as a clinical nurse specialist in adult mental health. She has 25 years of nursing experience and for the past seven years has worked as an advance practice nurse with Sanford Health. She was recently employed by Quality Life.

Her areas of interest include adult psychiatry, anxiety, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, mood disorders, chemical dependency/addictions, coping skills/stress management, dementia, individual counseling, mental illness military-related issues, post-traumatic stress disorders, spirituality/grief and loss schizophrenia, psychotic disorders and dual diagnosis.

A native of Tower City, N.D., she is a retired major with 21 years of active duty and Reserves service in the Army Nurse Corps.

Four new employees

at Aevenia in Moorhead

Aevenia, Moorhead, has hired Jerry Jenson as a contract administrator, Roger Yliniemi as a master electrician, Barb Shipley as a payroll administrator and Mandi Thompson as a resource planning coordinator.

Jenson has 14 years of experience in the accounting field and has a background in underground construction. He previously worked for Cargill, West Fargo Parks and Wayne’s Electric. He is a graduate of Northwest Technical College with an associate degree in accounting.

As a master electrician with nearly 23 years of electrical experience in the construction industry, Yliniemi previously worked for IdeaOne Telecom, Laney’s and RGR Electric. He is a graduate of Minnesota State Community and Technical College, Detroit Lakes.

Shipley has more than 17 years of accounting experience. Her past experience includes Ulteig Engineers, Northwest Professional Color, Liberty Tax Service and Holiday Inn Crowne Plaza. She is a graduate of Norwalk Community College and the National College of Business.

Thompson has more than 20 years of work experience including Noridian and Sanford Health. She has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Mary and Minnesota State University Moorhead.

Ramsey National Bank in Fargo hires Herold

Ramsey National Bank in Fargo has hired Jonathan Herold as a customer service representative.

Herold is a native of Bismarck and is attending North Dakota State University where he is pursuing a finance degree.

Novak named marketing vice president at BSE

Border States Electric, Fargo, has promoted Patrick Novak to vice president of marketing.

Novak has been with BSE since 2000. He has held a variety of positions, including strategic business relationship specialist, utility sales and marketing coordinator, electric utility marketing manager, utility marketing manager and most recently director of marketing.

Engineering firm hires Bartholomew, Lunski

Martin Mechanical Design, Fargo, has hired Cody Bartholomew and Josh Lunski as professional engineers.

Bartholomew graduated from the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks, with a mechanical engineering degree and has 11 years of experience in all phases of mechanical design and construction.

Lunski graduated from UND with a mechanical engineering degree. He is a certified health care facility design professional with 11 years of experience.

Western State hires personal banking officer

Cory Grosche has joined Western State Bank in West Fargo as a personal banking officer.

He previously worked as a personal banker, service/assistant manager and branch manager/assistant vice president at Wells Fargo.

Grosche, originally from Minot, N.D., graduated from the financial and credit services program at Minnesota State Community and Technical College, Moorhead.

Choice Financial hires Jesme as senior VP

Steve Jesme has joined Choice Financial in Fargo as senior vice president of ag lending.

He has more than 30 years of banking experience, including commercial and agribusiness banking. He was previously employed with Minnwest Bank, Montevideo, Minn., as a senior vice president/senior lender.

Jesme graduated with a bachelor’s degree in finance and a minor in management from Minnesota State University Moorhead. He is also a graduate of the Midwest Banking Institute, Institute of Certified Bankers Commercial Lending School and most recently the Colorado Graduate School of Banking.

JoAnn Jacobson has been promoted to assistant vice president lead credit analyst at Cornerstone Bank in Fargo.

Wilmore, German join TMI Hospitality in Fargo

TMI Hospitality, Fargo, has hired Jenny Wilmore as development project assistant and Mary German as accounts payable manager.

Wilmore earned an associate degree in arts and sciences with a focus in elementary education from Minnesota State University Moorhead. She has also served as a construction support assistant for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in Fargo.

German graduated from MSUM with a bachelor’s degree in accounting. She has worked in the accounting field in a variety of roles, including district credit manager, payroll and business manager. She most recently was an accountant for the Red River Human Services Foundation in Fargo.

Johnson named project manager, consultant

Implementation Specialists, Hawley, Minn., has hired Todd Johnson as a project manager and consultant.

Johnson graduated from Minnesota State University Moorhead with a bachelor’s degree in international business and also has a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Mary.

He has more than 10 years of human resources management systems analyst experience and more than four years of support and technology experience with Great Plains software.

inside sales manager

Alison Molony has been hired as the inside sales manager at the Ramada Plaza and Suites, Fargo.

She is originally from southwestern Minnesota and earned a bachelor’s degree from Gustavus Adolphus College, St. Peter, Minn.

Molony previously worked for five years at Valleyfair Amusement Park, Shakopee, Minn., as a group sales representative and entertainment manager.

Mathern joins Park Co. as sales associate

Denise Mathern has joined Park Co. Realtors in Fargo as a sales associate.

Mathern previously worked for Sanford Health as the executive director of brand and marketing strategy and event director.

She is a graduate of Fargo South High School and Jamestown (N.D.) College.

Katrina Tollefson has joined Bell State Bank & Trust as a personal banking officer at the branch at 3100 13th Ave. S., Fargo.

Tollefson, originally from Thief River Falls, Minn., attended Northland Community and Technical College. She was previously employed at Wells Fargo and has 11 years of experience in the financial industry.

Fargo Sanford offers new medical specialty

Maternal-fetal medicine is now available at Sanford Broadway Clinic in Fargo.

Dr. Peter Van Eerden provides patients with advanced treatment for obstetrical, genetic and medical complications of pregnancy. He specializes in advanced prenatal diagnosis, genetic counseling and preconception counseling.

Van Eerden is the only board-certified maternal-fetal medicine physician in North Dakota. He earned a master’s degree at the Mailman School of Public Health at Columbia University, New York, and earned a medical degree and completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the Medical College of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia.

He completed a fellowship in maternal-fetal medicine at Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Bronx, N.Y.

Van Eerden previously practiced for seven years at the Sanford Maternal-Fetal Medicine Clinic, Sioux Falls, S.D.

RLE Group hires Hanson as interior designer

Megan Hanson has joined the RLE Group in Fargo as an interior designer.

She has many years of experience in corporate, banking and medical design, and in computer-aided design drafting. She attended Mesa College, San Diego.

Gate City promotes

three to assistant VP

Gate City Bank has promoted Dan Eggiman, Jeana Marshall and Todd Olson to assistant vice president.

Eggiman is a personal banking supervisor at the bank’s south Moorhead office. He earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Minnesota State University Moorhead and has been employed with Gate City Bank for three years.

Marshall is a personal loan officer at the bank’s West Fargo office. She earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing from MSUM and has been employed with Gate City Bank since 2006.

Olson is the bank’s financial planning manager and works in the downtown Fargo office. He earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks, and has been employed at Gate City Bank since 2012.

Industrial painting firm changes name, hires 1

Neal’s Industrial Painting, 701 Main Ave. W., West Fargo, has changed the name of the business to Industrial Coating Specialists Inc.

The company has also hired Brian Monson as the customer service and sales manager.

Monson has more than 20 years of management and sales experience, and has worked for several regional production and sales companies where he provided management services overseeing paint line production, product and process development and sales activities.
