9 possible voter fraud cases found in NDBISMARCK – The Secretary of State’s Office and state’s county auditors recently identified nine potential cases of voter fraud out of the 325,862 voters who cast ballots in last November’s election.
These cases have been referred for investigation to the respective state attorney’s in the counties where the alleged voter fraud occurred. If prosecuted and convicted, the penalty for voter fraud is a Class A misdemeanor in North Dakota.
None of the cases was in Cass County.
The suspected cases involve people who allegedly voted both absentee and in person.
